If you have been in Kitty City recently, you have noticed we have lots of cats and kittens awaiting their perfect homes.  (We are also maintaining high adoption rates each month and pulling in adopters from Charlotte, Mooresville, Salisbury and surrounding communities.)  The growth is phenomenal.  And with that, the need for supplies to manage our boarders grows as well.  We go through about 300 lbs of litter each week.   And, every $100 we save from having to buy litter will pay the initial health intake fee for a lucky cat or kitten. 

Our fundraiser for September is The Litter Challenge.  And, here is how you can help.  If  each of our supporters will donate 20 lbs of litter that will make a HUGE difference.    Together, we can raise 2 tons of litter – enough to get us to the end of this year.   You can check out our website and we will tell you who is running a buy one, get one free special which will multiple your contribution without multiplying your dollars.  Or, if you buy your litter on the BOGO special, you can donate the additional litter without having to pay a dime more.  Just check the website each week for the latest information.

And, because we know you want to share in our success, we will keep a running total – both on the internet and on our special Litter Challenge Ladder that you will see displayed outside of Kitty City.  When we achieve our goal, we are going to have a special supporter appreciation day – with refreshments – at Kitty City so that we all can celebrate together.
