Volunteer Opportunities
Kitty City Needs YOU!

Have you thought about volunteering to work at Kitty City?  Most of our volunteer work involves keeping Kitty City clean and taking care of our cats and dogs. For those of us that keep the cages clean, there seems to be a visual appreciation for our little ones. If you want to volunteer, call Kitty City to sign up for a cleaning time.

We also need other volunteers. Would you like to work an afternoon special event? Can you design posters and publicity?  Do you have the capacity to haul cages from KC to a vet office? Are you willing to stuff envelopes?  If you see a way that you can add to Kitty City, just email us at kittycityvolunteer@yahoo.com .  Either Melanie or Gail will contact you.

           Food committee (help to prepare food/serve/clean up during fundraising events)

            Dessert committee (make desserts for various fundraising events throughout the year)

             Theme baskets (create theme baskets for various fundraising events)        cat

             Decorating committee (set up decorations for approximately 3 events per year)

              Donation jars (places and collects full donation jars at a designated location)

             Soliciting donations (writing letters to companies for items to donate; visiting local merchants to request items)

             Calendar committee (solicit photos, layout and coordinate sales)

             Photographer (take photos of events and Kitty City residents)

             Fundraising (help to set up/clean up and work events)

            Shelter Cleaning (needed daily – a one day weekly commitment is needed)

              Transporting cats (a weekly commitment is needed)

        catKitty City open hours (help needed for adoption duties – must interview with Patsy – weekly commitment is needed)

        Foster homes for kittens  (needed for momma cats ready to give birth, mothers and their newborns, or just kittens.  Need to be able to commit to  5- 12 weeks.)

       Foster homes for puppies (needed to house and care for puppies and arrange adoption appointments 1- 4 week anticipated commitment)

               Trap, spay and neuter (needed to work with program managers to manage feral colonies; a monthly commitment is needed.)
